More about the Product: This silk scarf is based on Seble's Painting "WAITING FOR THE TRAIN" This woman from the Eastern part of Ethiopia is waiting for the train to stop in her town. This painting is based on a common ritual that used to be followed and continues in some parts. The woman carries different fruits to be sold to passengers when the train stops for a short time. In earlier days trains were not modern and usually did not arrive on-time. Therefore, small traders, including the woman fruit seller would have to be patient and wait for the train to arrive.
